
Wow, just got back from the makerfaire here in austin. The official site is:

There were rockets, tesla coils, giant catapults hurlin pumpkins in the punkin chunkin contest, art cars galore, robots, performance art, crazy bikes, a life-size version of the contraptions in the board game mousetrap, people who wanted to live on the moon and a literal cornucopia of geekdom. A giant store where you could buy how-to books on everything under the sun, parts to make them and even stations with hot soldering irons so you could make it right there. But the show stealer of today was without a doubt the cyclecide bike rodeo. There were bikes of every shape and size, including this beast of a ferris wheel looking bike. On with some pictures I took:
