Third eye squeegee on all things old and new

Eddie Hill video from back in the day.....

Photobucket

You never know what you might find on the web these days, and this afternoon I found this clip from a racing show from the early 90's about drag racer Eddie Hill. If your not familiar with his career, he set the world record in 1982 for the fastest speed on water: and folks this was before safety capsules, homeboy was going like 220 mph in an open air boat. He also set a record in 1988 for the first top fuel dragster to make the quarter mile in 4 seconds. Watch for Fuzzy Carter in the clip, he was Eddie's crew chief through the majority of his career, and he also hailed from the great city of Big Spring. Sadly, he died of cancer 8 years ago, but his memory still lives on, my head still hurts from him thumping it for 20 years...enjoy..
