So Mickey Rourke hasn't really around much in the past couple of years....I wouldn't necessarily call this film a RESURRECTION, don't forget his kick ass performance as tough guy MARV in Robert Rodriguez' 2005 film SIN CITY (where the hell is the damn sequel to Sin City anyway? Robert too busy making goo goo eyes at Rose McGowan?). However all the buzz from the festival circuit is that this is the film thats gonna win Rourke an Oscar and all that other good media bullshit. I'm a big fan of Aronofsky, still contemplating what the hell THE FOUNTAIN was about, but man it looked great. Everything I've seen so far looks fantastic, and of all the films this holiday season, I think this is one that I don't plan on missing. And if you didn't know, Aronofsky's next film is a ROBOCOP update.....retarded idea yes I know but should be interesting to see what he comes up with.
